Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp milk
  • powdered sugar for dusting
  • 2 refrigerated pie crusts
  • 2 tsp sanding sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Toast pecans and mix with sugar, butter, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  3. Prepare egg wash with egg and milk.
  4. Cut pie crusts into circles.
  5. Fill, fold, and seal hand pies.
  6. Brush with egg wash and vent tops.
  7. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden.
  8. Cool and dust with sugar.
