- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons browned butter
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 pan.
- Mix bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add baking soda and salt, then stir in flour until just combined.
- Pour into pan and bake 25–30 minutes.
- Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled bars.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Whole wheat flour can be substituted for a denser texture.
- Do not overmix the batter.
- Best served cooled for clean slicing.
