  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons browned butter
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 pan.
  2. Mix bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add baking soda and salt, then stir in flour until just combined.
  4. Pour into pan and bake 25–30 minutes.
  5. Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled bars.
  6. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Whole wheat flour can be substituted for a denser texture.
