- 2 (12 oz) jars lemon pie filling or lemon curd
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 box (15.25 oz) lemon cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread lemon pie filling evenly in a 9×13 baking dish.
- Beat cream cheese, egg, and sugar until smooth, then drop spoonfuls over filling.
- Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top.
- Layer thin slices of butter over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40 minutes until golden and set.
- Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Do not mix layers for best texture.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
- Can substitute lemon curd for stronger citrus flavor.
