These utterly adorable Snowman Cake Pops are easy to make but almost too cute to eat. Perfect for holiday fun with kids or parties, you can make a double batch for extra festive treats.

  • Total Time: 2 hrs 32 mins
  • Yield: 14–24 cake pops

Ingredients

Scale
  • 115 oz box of cake mix (any flavor)
  • 1/2 cup frosting
  • 1 1/22 cups vanilla melting chocolate
  • 24 pack lollipop sticks
  • Black, red & green fondant
  • Black and orange writing gel

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake cake mix according to package instructions. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Crumble cooled cake into a large bowl. Mix in frosting until malleable but firm.
  3. Roll 1 1/2” sized balls. Dip lollipop sticks into melted chocolate, insert halfway into cake balls, and freeze 1–2 hours.
  4. Melt remaining chocolate with optional 1 Tbsp coconut oil. Dip frozen cake pops, coat completely. Let harden upright in styrofoam or mugs filled with rice. Add hats if desired while chocolate is soft.
  5. Roll fondant, cut scarves, bowties, hats, or other decorations. Attach using a drop of water as needed.
  6. Use black and orange writing gel to create eyes, nose, mouth, and buttons. Allow to set before serving.

Notes

  • Work with fondant just before decorating to prevent drying.
  • Make hats just before dipping in chocolate to stick properly.
  • Yield depends on single or double ball snowmen: 14–24 cake pops.
