- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour melted butter into a 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt; stir in milk until smooth.
- Pour batter over melted butter in dish, do not mix.
- Sprinkle packed brown sugar and chopped pecans evenly over batter.
- Carefully pour boiling water over the top; do not stir.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until top is golden and cobbler crust forms.
- Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm for best results.
- Can be topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
- Use a glass or ceramic dish for even baking.
