Ingredients
Scale
- 36 Oreos
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 12 oz white chocolate melts or almond bark
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
- ¼ cup crushed chocolate cookies or brownie crumbs (optional)
- ¼ cup chocolate frosting or dark chocolate chips (for mouths)
Instructions
- Add the Oreos to a food processor and pulse into fine crumbs.
- In a large bowl, combine the crumbs and softened cream cheese until a dough forms.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze the balls for 20–30 minutes or until firm.
- Melt the white chocolate or almond bark according to package directions.
- Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place back on the tray.
- Before the coating sets, add two mini chocolate chips for eyes and a dab of chocolate frosting or a chip for the mouth.
- Sprinkle crushed cookies or brownie crumbs on top for ghost “hair” (optional).
- Let truffles set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.
- Store in the fridge up to 1 week or freeze up to 1 month.
Notes
- Use high-quality melting wafers or almond bark for the smoothest coating.
- Be sure to freeze the truffle balls before dipping — it helps them hold their shape.
- Let kids help decorate the faces; it’s a fun and spooky kitchen activity!
