- Brownie Base: 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cheesecake Layer: 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- Optional Additions: 1 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup nuts, 1/2 cup peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder and flour. Stir gently until combined.
- Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour half of brownie batter into pan. Spoon cheesecake mixture on top, then remaining brownie batter. Swirl together with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes. Toothpick should come out slightly moist but not wet.
- Cool completely before slicing into 16 squares.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
