About Me

Hi there, I’m Emma a Canadian heart now living in the UK, where I’ve turned my everyday kitchen into a cozy, well-loved space full of flavor, warmth, and just the right amount of chaos. I’m a home cook, not a professional chef, but I believe that’s where the magic happens in real homes, with real people, making food that matters.

I grew up in a house where the kitchen was the center of everything. It wasn’t glamorous. There were no stainless-steel appliances or marble countertops. But there was love. Sunday stews, holiday baking that covered every surface in flour, and a table that always made room for one more. I didn’t know it then, but those ordinary moments were shaping my deepest beliefs about food: that it brings us together, that it tells stories, and that it doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.

When I moved to the UK, I brought my family recipes with me along with a growing curiosity to make cooking simpler, a little more forgiving, and always full of love. That’s how Recipe By Emma came to life. It’s a place where you don’t need fancy tools or hours of spare time just a bit of inspiration, a pinch of patience, and a big appetite.

One thing you’ll find a lot of here? No-bake desserts. I absolutely adore them. There’s something so freeing about making something beautiful and indulgent without turning on the oven. Whether it’s a creamy cheesecake that sets in the fridge, chocolate clusters made in minutes, or a nostalgic icebox cake that tastes like childhood no-bake recipes are my go-to when I want to create a little joy without a lot of fuss. They’re perfect for busy days, warm weather, or when you simply want dessert now (because, let’s be honest, we’ve all been there).

My blog is full of cozy dinners, sweet treats, and family-friendly meals that work for real life. I test every recipe myself sometimes with my toddler perched on the counter “helping,” sometimes with my dog hoping for a spill, always with love. If it works here, it’ll work in your kitchen too.

I believe food should be joyful. That garlic and butter are kitchen staples for a reason. That a shared meal can soothe even the hardest days. And that desserts especially no-bake ones are tiny celebrations we all deserve more often.

So welcome to my kitchen. I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s make something sweet, something simple, something delicious together.

If you try a recipe and love it (or make a glorious mess trying), I’d love to hear about it! Come find me on Pinterest @RecipeByEmma for weekly ideas, kitchen tips, and a little dose of joy from my kitchen to yours.

Thanks for letting me be part of your home.
Now, let’s make something delicious together.
