- ¾ cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 ¼ cups pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
- ½ cup oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ½ cup chocolate chips for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F; line and spray 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Melt chocolate chips and butter in small saucepan over low heat; cool slightly.
- In a stand mixer, combine sugar and eggs until mixed.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
- Divide batter into two bowls.
- Combine pumpkin, oil, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice in another bowl; stir into one batter bowl; add chocolate mixture to other bowl.
- Dollop chocolate and pumpkin batter alternately into pan; swirl with knife; sprinkle topping chocolate chips.
- Bake 40–45 minutes; cool before slicing.

- Use real pumpkin puree, not pie filling, for best texture and flavor.
