For the Biscuits:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups canned or fresh diced peaches (drained if using canned)
- 1/4 cup peach juice or syrup
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and pour melted butter into a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir in buttermilk and peach juice until just combined. Fold in diced peaches.
- Pour batter over the melted butter in the baking dish without stirring.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until golden brown on top and edges are set.
- Let cool slightly. Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm biscuits.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use very ripe fresh peaches for maximum flavor, or canned for convenience.
- Adjust glaze thickness by varying milk quantity.
- Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days.
