Peach Butter Swim Biscuits are tender, buttery biscuits that “swim” in melted butter while baking, bursting with juicy peaches and finished with a simple vanilla glaze perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 9 biscuits

Ingredients

Scale

For the Biscuits:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups canned or fresh diced peaches (drained if using canned)
  • 1/4 cup peach juice or syrup

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and pour melted butter into a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir in buttermilk and peach juice until just combined. Fold in diced peaches.
  3. Pour batter over the melted butter in the baking dish without stirring.
  4. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden brown on top and edges are set.
  5. Let cool slightly. Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm biscuits.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use very ripe fresh peaches for maximum flavor, or canned for convenience.
  • Adjust glaze thickness by varying milk quantity.
  • Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days.
