  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Mix until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  3. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips, hot fudge, and walnuts (if using) until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack. Drizzle with extra hot fudge before serving.
