- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Beat sugar and oil (or butter) until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet and mix until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Cover dough and chill for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls and roll in powdered sugar.
- Place on baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until tops are cracked but centers are soft.
- Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
- Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
