  • 1 cup milk (240ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar (100g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Slowly whisk in milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour batter over melted butter in the dish. Do not stir.
  4. Evenly distribute sliced bananas over batter.
  5. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over bananas. Add optional nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Bake 35–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Toothpick should come out mostly clean.
  7. Cool 10–15 minutes before serving. Serve warm.
