Crust

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 9×9-inch pan with parchment or foil and spray with nonstick spray.
  2. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt for crust.
  3. Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, then mix in flour mixture. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Press 2/3 of dough into pan for bottom layer.
  5. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla for filling; spread over crust.
  6. Crumble remaining dough on top of filling.
  7. Bake 40 minutes until cheesecake is set and cookie dough is golden.
  8. Cool completely and chill before slicing.
