- 1 box 18–20 oz brownie mix, plus ingredients on box
- ½ cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F; grease 9×9 or 8×8-inch pan, or line with parchment.
- Prepare brownie batter per box directions; stir in chocolate chips if using; pour ¾ of batter into pan.
- Make cheesecake layer: beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth; spoon over brownie batter.
- Drop remaining brownie batter on top; swirl gently with knife or toothpick.
- Bake 35–40 minutes until toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Use gentle swirling to maintain a pretty cheesecake pattern on top of brownies.
