- 1 (18 oz) box Crispix Cereal
- 1 cup Butter
- 2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Corn Syrup
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Pour Crispix in a large bowl.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and constantly stir until boiling.
- Once boiling, stir in corn syrup and vanilla. Bring to a boil again while continuing to stir.
- Add baking soda, continuing to stir until it becomes foamy and doubles in size, turning light tan.
- Pour mixture over the cereal and stir until well coated.
- Spread the coated cereal on the parchment paper and let completely cool (about 1 hour) to prevent stickiness.
Notes
- Ensure the caramel mixture is foamy before pouring for the best texture.
- Letting the Crispix fully cool helps prevent sticking.
