Caramel Crispix, a highly addictive and indulgent sweet snack made with a homemade caramel sauce that coats Crispix cereal!

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 oz) box Crispix Cereal
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Corn Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Pour Crispix in a large bowl.
  3. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and constantly stir until boiling.
  4. Once boiling, stir in corn syrup and vanilla. Bring to a boil again while continuing to stir.
  5. Add baking soda, continuing to stir until it becomes foamy and doubles in size, turning light tan.
  6. Pour mixture over the cereal and stir until well coated.
  7. Spread the coated cereal on the parchment paper and let completely cool (about 1 hour) to prevent stickiness.
