These Banana Pudding Dream Bars take your favorite banana pudding to the next level with an Oreo layer, fresh bananas, and a sweet cream cheese layer.

  • 28 Golden Oreos with filling, divided
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 bananas, divided
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, divided (or stabilized whipped cream)
  • 3.9-ounce package instant banana pudding
  • 1 ½ cups milk

Instructions

  1. Oreo Crust: Crush 20 Oreos in a blender or food processor.
  2. Melt butter in microwave for 30 seconds, mix with crushed Oreos, press into an 8×8-inch baking dish, and freeze at least 30 minutes.
  3. Banana Pudding: Mix instant banana pudding with 1 ½ cups milk.
  4. Banana Cheesecake Layer: Mash 1 banana, beat with cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in 1 cup Cool Whip.
  5. Slice remaining 2 bananas, place over cooled crust, spread cream cheese mixture on top, then spread pudding evenly over cream cheese mixture.
  6. Top with remaining Cool Whip, refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  7. Crush remaining 8 Oreos and sprinkle over bars before serving.

Notes

  • Use only 1 ½ cups of milk for thicker pudding suitable for slicing.
