A cozy, impressive, and easy weeknight dinner featuring chicken breasts baked in a creamy Parmesan sauce that hints at Caesar dressing.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 3 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish large enough for the chicken breasts.
  2. Pat chicken dry, rub with olive oil, season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Optionally, sear chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  4. Whisk together heavy cream, Parmesan, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and thyme until smooth.
  5. Place chicken in the baking dish and pour sauce over top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake 20–25 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let rest 5 minutes, slice, and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sear before baking and use freshly grated Parmesan. Adjust seasoning as desired.
